Birthday cupcakes and Hash browns?

We have had a busy few days. Those cupcakes you see were for William's Birthday and they were delish if I do say so! I was baking them Saturday night and Hudson saw the mixer going, he started smacking  those little lips and got so excited. He has learned that when the mixer is going I am usually making something sweet!  Of course he had to sample! Don't have any pictures of Hilary once again she was away, she is a jet setting little thing! Always on the go! When she got home tonight though she did say that she felt like she needed to throw up so she  didn't  want to go to school but she needed Pop to make her a plate of his homemade hash browns! heheh.So, I have a funny feeling I will be getting a call from the school nurse tomorrow......we shall see.

Ladies who lunch

 Here lately I like to think up cute ways to package Hilary's lunch for school,hoping she has as much fun the next day opening it as I had packing it! I remember when I went to school and Mom would put notes and stickers in our lunch boxes, that would excite me to no end. Funny how the littlest of things stick with you for years. Maybe someday Hilary will think back to the cute little cupcake sandwiches I made her as she packs her daughters lunch......now that's a little scary.....Hilary all grown up!

Not much of anything

Not much going on here today, sent Hilary and the Hubbs off to school and work this morning then Hudson and I went back to bed for an hour or two. He doesn't go to bed until around 1 am almost every night, guess he gets that honest.  Our day is spent doing a lot of this...he loves his books! He gets so excited when we read and gives every page a kiss. Our afternoons go by pretty fast these days and before I know it, it's time to pick up his big sis. from school and then do a couple of hours of home work....yuck! I will admit all Hilary's homework this year is making me think back ....this stuff is hard! =/

 

Rainy day

It's been a rainy day here, and that always puts me in the mood to bake.  I have been doing weight watchers for almost a month now but sometimes a girl has got to have her baked goods! So, I put the Hudster down for a nap and had Hilary put on her new pink apron her Aunt made her ( she made me one too but I won't model it for you heheheh) and we mixed up a batch of sugar cookies. She wasn't able to help me frost them since she went to spend the night with her Grands. But I think her favorite part was licking the bowl anyway...mine too! I am posting a picture or two of Hudson even though he didn't help =) and now I hear a cookie or two calling my name.

Doing the blog thing!

So I want to start blogging again, mainly for Family that are not able to watch Hilary and Hudson grow up and just to ramble a bit, because I am by no means a writer! Ha ha!  I hope to get pictures of the kiddos up very soon!
